Paris, France

About Paris

Paris feels like a place that was built for wandering more than sightseeing. A city where you've kind of supposed to get a little lost. The Seine cuts through the middle, and on both sides you've got these pale old buildings with iron balconies, tiny cafes squeezed into corners, and people lingering over coffee like they have nowhere else to be. You might look up and suddenly see the Eiffel Tower in the distance, or turn a corner and stumble onto a random little square with a bakery that smells like all the things you want to eat and take home.

Different neighborhoods have different vibes. Some streets feel fancy and polished, others are scruffy and artsy, full of bookshops and bars and people sitting on the curb with a bottle of wine. Paris has the big postcard stuff, the museums, old churches, grand avenues, but a lot of its charm is in the small, quiet moments: walking along the river at night, hearing a busker under a bridge, or just watching the city move around you while you sit on a bench and do nothing, but be with your thoughts.
